Landlords must maintain the property in a reasonable state, addressing issues like leaks or broken windows. As a tenant, you should keep the property clean and report any needed repairs.
Pest Control
What if there are pests?
Your landlord is responsible for ensuring the property is pest-free. If you notice pests, inform your landlord immediately.
Smoke Alarms
Who maintains smoke alarms?
While landlords must install working smoke alarms, you are responsible for changing batteries if applicable and reporting any malfunctions.

5. Move-in and Security Deposit
Once you’ve signed the lease, we’ll guide you through the move-in process. A security deposit will be required to protect the property.
